After Christmas…

“The Work of Christmas”
by Howard Thurman

When the song of the angels is stilled,
When the star in the sky is gone,
When the kings and princes are home,
When the shepherds are back with their flock,
The work of Christmas begins:
To find the lost,
To heal the broken,
To feed the hungry,
To release the prisoner,
To rebuild the nations,
To bring peace among brothers,
To make music in the heart.

What could say it better? The celebration of Christmas is important. My (our) celebration this year included a meaningful blend of church, meditation, family, food and gifts. But now, back to the unfinished work – the work of the kingdom of God.

Another world is possible! To quote Jamie Moffett and others. See the web site:
Let us work and pray for that world, to be revealed and completed when Christ returns.
