London Journal – Monday, October 20, 2008

Again, I spent the first part of the day in office work.

Then, an appointment with one of our team members for spiritual direction and prayer. Coming home we got soaked with rain, unwisely having left our umbrellas in our hotel room.

In the evening we went to a Friendship Centre for a Chat Room (a real live gathering of people, not an electronic chat room), a meeting for better understanding between Christians and Muslims. Dessert and drinks were available. Thirteen people from many different nations were present.

Mr. R led a discussion about lying. What is it? How is it regarded by different cultures and religions? What does the Bible say? What particular challenges do you personally face as you seek to practice truthfulness?

The Friendship Centre is operated by a Christian ministry.
