Vacation Days in England

We took three days of vacation, May 21-23, in and around Oxford.

The weather, unlike a previous forecast, did not include rain. Thursday and Friday had some sunshine;breezy and chilly. Saturday was full sun.

Yesterday I met with three of our team members to work on some financial matters, then back to our hotel for office work.

For the evening meal we went to Piccadilly Circus and ate at the very American Aberdeen Steak House. Good food. I had lamb shish kebab.

Today is my mother’s 89th birthday, so I called her on my U.S. cell phone. What a privilege to have a clear connection five time zones away.

A Pastors’ Vision Trip is in progress. This is a 9-day experience here in London for pastors and lay leaders from North America, to give them an introduction to the work that the Brethren in Christ and other groups are doing to take the gospel to the people of UK, and especially to our distant spiritual cousins.

For our time in Madrid, we stayed with the Bundys in their apartment, on the tenth of thirteen floors. Obviously, Spaniards are not superstitious about the number 13!
