Here are some photos to illustrate my trip to London on December 13-20, 2010.

Last Day in London
June 15, 2010

Sunday, April 25, 2010. Our last day in London.

Obert Nkala, a Brethren in Christ minister from Zimbabwe, has started a work in UK called International Brethren in Christ Ministries. He had invited us to attend his church service, so we did so today.

The staff at our hotel invited us to join them for a special breakfast, which was most enjoyable.

The day was warm and sunny, so when we and our friends went to Speakers’ Corner, many people were in the park and at the Corner.

Today we worshiped with Paul and his family at St.Mary’s Church of England in the section of London known as Walthamstow. Many people from Pakistan and Bangladesh live there.

A Norman church was on this site by the year 1108. Here are some views of the church.

Easter in London 2010
April 9, 2010

We arrived in London on Saturday, April 3, and were greeted by an unusual local situation – sunshine!

We found that spring is at about the same stage of arrival here as in PA.

London Again – 2
November 26, 2009

With Bath and Bristol behind us, we returned to London to take up our typical ministry again – from November 15 through 18.

On Sunday the 15th we took Hope to attend services at Forest Gate Church, where Elias Moyo is founding pastor. He had both Hope and me give greetings. I of course highlighted the work of our London team and invited this church to visit the ministry at Speakers’ Corner. The service leader was from Nigeria. Elias preached on “Missions – God’s Agenda for Biblical People.”

Trip to London – Sunday, September 27
September 29, 2009

This morning we went to Hollingbury Hotel to have a chat with two of the men who sit at the front desk. It was good to catch up with them again. One of them has completed his law exams and will be looking for a job in his field.

September 21, 2009

Up early to go with our friend Edgar Moyo to St. Helen’s Church of England Church in Notting Hill. I had met the church’s Vicar (Pastor) Steve Divall on previous visits, and he invited me to give a brief report about the work I do and the varied ministries of our missionary team.

Sometimes our experiences at Speakers’ Corner are a bit flat. Today was lively and invigorating. More about that later.

Today we went with Carmen to her church, Holy Trinity-Swiss Cottage. Casual dress; contemporary worship style; message on the complicated question of why there is evil and suffering in the world; and holy communion. This is an evangelical Anglican Church.

Part of the minsitry of this church is to offer the Alpha Course, a series of teachings, with discussion time, on the common questions that people raise about life and the Christian way.

Then, our usual schedule for a Sunday.
